Hello friend..

I understand you might have some questions about who I am what I do, and so I hope these words may shed a little light on the experience and offerings that I bring to my work. I always enjoy connecting with people and welcome conversations - so if you would like to chat, please feel free to email or reach me on facebook.

I am a long term traveler, nomad, and resident of the world, and feel very blessed to dedicate my days and nights working with students and groups from across the globe. Whether you are new to mindfulness or an experienced meditator, in Texas, Costa Rica or Australia, there is lot we can do together.

I’ve been studying and practicing meditation for the past thirty eight years, and while I draw from many of the buddhist traditions, I am trained and facilitate in a very inclusive, secular way.

My journey thus far

I have received formal training from some of the very best teachers in the field. Including, but not limited to, Ken Mcleod, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Stephen Batchelor, Dada Rainjitananda, Geoffrey Shugen Sensai Arnold Roshi, Fleet Maull, Christina Feldman, Chris Cullum, Ven Bhikkhu Bodhi, Ven, Bhikkhu Analayo, Robert Wright, Oren Jay Sofer, Gabor Mate, Peter Levine, David Treleaven, Bessel Van Der Kolk, Rick Hanson, Tara Brach, and Jack Kornfield.

My formal training has been in Zen, Mahamudra and Dzogchen, from the Mahayana (Japanese, Korean and Tibetan) traditions, Vipassana and early buddhist studies from the Theravada traditions, and Vedanta from the Hindu traditions.

In addition to this I have received formal instruction from the more modern traditions and modalities such as Secular Dharma, Engaged Mindfulness, MBSR, Insight, Buddhist Psychology, Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma Healing, Polyvagal Theory, Compassionate Inquiry, Neuroplasticity, and Nonviolent Communication.

In addition to decades of formal training in contemplative traditions (such as Zen, Theravada, Vipassana and Vedanta to name a few), I also have received formal instruction from more modern traditions and modalities such as MSBR, Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness, Neuroplasticity.

Why Meditation and Mindfulness?

In 2001, after witnessing the tragic events of September 11th unfold in New York City, I dedicated my life to these teachings, so that I may be able to pass them on to others, with the intention of bringing about a more peaceful, loving, and compassionate worldview. Thus, I am equally fascinated by contemplative teachings, trauma healing, and neuropsychology, and I intend to teach from the intersection of these three paths.
